Wildlife Education Van – Bringing Learning to Our Community
Now more than ever, it is critical to teach people of all ages how to peacefully coexist with local wildlife, prevent injury to animals, and recognize the vital role these species play in healthy ecosystems. Education builds empathy, awareness, and long-term support for the wild animals we rehabilitate, creating lasting impact for both people and wildlife.
Because Wolf Hollow’s wildlife hospital cannot host visitors and our service area is spread across islands, a mobile unit is the natural solution. The Wildlife Education Van will allow us to bring science-based, hands-on learning directly to schools, community centers, and public events throughout the region.
This traveling classroom will:
- Reach children and adults where they live and learn.
- Provide accessible, engaging lessons on wildlife coexistence and conservation.
- Reduce harmful human impacts by teaching practical ways to prevent injuries to animals.
- Strengthening community support for protecting native species.
As human-wildlife encounters increase due to habitat loss, development, and environmental change, the need for proactive, compassionate education has never been greater. The Wildlife Education Van will expand our outreach, deepen public understanding, and inspire stewardship of the Salish Sea’s unique wildlife for generations to come.
As we celebrate our 42nd year, your donation will help Wolf Hollow continue its mission to promote the well-being of wildlife and their habitats through rehabilitation, public education and non-invasive research.
Note: Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center does not sell or share donor information with other organizations.
Your donation is 100% tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Tax ID 91-1265913.
