That means your gift today will go twice as far in supporting injured and orphaned wildlife when they need it most.

Wildlife rehabilitation is truly a team effort. It depends on licensed, highly trained staff, dedicated volunteers, and generous donors like you working together. Each role is essential, and without any one of these pieces, the lifesaving work we do simply could not happen.

Unlike some nonprofit organizations, Wolf Hollow does not receive regular tax funding from county, state, or federal sources. The limited public funds we do, occasionally, have access to, are through a highly competitive grant process, and those grants are typically restricted to very specific projects, such as repairing enclosures or purchasing medications. In today’s funding climate, many of these grants are no longer available, making community support more vital than ever.

The most challenging and most critical expense to fund is staff salaries. This is not overhead; it is the foundation of wildlife rehabilitation. Without skilled, licensed professionals on site every day, there is no one to assess injuries, provide medical treatment, respond to emergencies, or ensure that animals are given the best possible chance to return to the wild. Without staff, the center cannot function.

Since 1983, the center has treated more than 20,200 injured and orphaned wild animals. Thousands of people have attended educational events, along with even more people calling the center with questions about wildlife or challenges living in the same environment.
